This year’s camp, like many of our camps will be held at Brereton Lake (Lot 7, Block 9) in Whiteshell Provincial Park. We call this campsite ‘the Rock’ because the entire site is a huge mound of Precambrian Shield rock, some of the oldest in the world, surrounded by trees, water, and nature’s beauty. The hiking trail (as seen above) displays an almost bird’s eye view of the coniferous trees that border the edge of that Precambrian rock, and the still waters of Brereton Lake offer calm and solace for either canoeing, swimming, or just gazing at the horizon.

Transportation will be arranged to and from the campsite inshaAllah from WCM and the Grand Mosque.

On July 15th, campers should be at the following locations at the listed times to be able to get on the bus:

Winnipeg Central Mosque at 715 Ellice Avenue - 8:30am
Grand Mosque at 2445 Waverley Street - 9:00am

The campers will arrive at each mosque on July 19th at the following times.

WCM - 5:30pm
Grand Mosque - 5:00pm

Parents, please arrange to pick up your child form the location on time. If you’re registering from outside of Winnipeg, please arrange for local pick up or accomodations for your child in case you’re not able to get to Winnipeg in time.
